Lawyer and Judge in Wayne County, Mich. b. 1814. d. 1898. Samuel Townsend Douglass was born in Wallingford, Vt. on Feb. 28, 1814, son of Benjamin Douglass. His parents moved to Fredonia, N.Y., where he grew up and was educated at Fredonia Academy. Douglass studied law in the office of Judge James Mullett of the New York Supreme Court.
